The Thursday Morning Club installed its

2015 on Thursday, May 2, at the club’s Madison Community House at 25 Cook Ave.
The installation was followed by a luncheon catered by Rob’s Bistro.
Outgoing President Anne Lawless welcomed honored guests of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), Linda Babeuf, president, and Patricia Andersen, Highlands District vice president. In a candlelight ceremony, Andersen installed Holzman as the club’s new president and the new Board of Trustees Karen Jeisi, Denice Katz, Betty Dangler, Carol Hartel, Peggy Philp and Laurie Mindnich.
Lawless also welcomed the past presidents in attendance as well as members who are celebrating 25 years of service to the Thursday Morning Club: Betty Ann Howson, Lenore Luckey, Nancy Monahan and Carole Rusen.Shopping is the best place to comparison shop for stainless steel bracelet manufacturer. Certificates of Merit from the NJSFWC for “Best All-Around Work in the District” were accepted by Thursday Morning Club President Anne Lawless for Leadership, and by Sylvia Luber for Communications.
Lawless also presented certificates from the NJSFWC to six club members who won awards for their submissions to the Highlands District Arts Achievement Day, held April 10 at the Zeris Inn in Mountain Lakes. The highest award, the Gold Ribbon, was awarded to: Doris Costello for a filled cookie; Marty Stockert for cranberry nut bread; Cookie Warren for a sour cream coffeecake; and Sylvia Luber for photography in the category of living things. Luber also won second place in the categories of still life and scenic photography.
Blue Ribbons for first place were also awarded to Nancy Luts for a bracelet, Olga Soriano for embroidery and Marty Stockert for an apple pie and foliage house plant.
“The District Arts Achievement Day was a huge success” said Diana Roberts,where cards are embedded with chip card and a cardholder. Chairwoman of Arts Creative. “Of our ten entries in the Arts Creative category, we came away with ten winners.”
The Thursday Morning Club, a social and philanthropic organization, owns and operates the Madison Community House, its Nursery School, Before and After School Child Care program and Summer Camp. Since its inception, the club has provided support for community programs as well as a meeting place for Madison’s sports, recreational and civic groups.
Every summer for the last five years, as part of its annual post play production festivities, WilleyWorld Community Productions chooses a local nonprofit organization to benefit from its well-attended Cast Party Fundraiser.
On Monday, WilleyWorld organizers, former "All My Children" actor Walt Willey and "Kim" Howard Johnson, of Ottawa, announced proceeds from their fifth annual fundraiser,A plastic IC card containing a computer chip and enabling. to be held at JJ's Sports Pub and Grill, 104 W. Main St., Ottawa, following the Sunday, July 21, matinee of "Deathtrap," will go to La Salle County's Pet Project of rural Marseilles.
"We choose a different organization to spotlight each year, and we have raised money for several organizations since we began this four years ago," explained Johnson. "We have partnered with The United Way, Youth Service Bureau, Friendship Village and Streator's Engle Lane Theatre in the past,Custom silicone bracelet and Silicone Wristbands, and this year, we are proud to hold this event to benefit Pet Project. They have been an important part of our area for many years, and it is only appropriate that we celebrate their contributions during this, their 20th anniversary, year."
"This event is a great chance to mix and mingle with Deathtrap's cast and crew, including my 'All My Children' cast mate Bobbie Eakes, to do something good for our town," said Willey, who has run both an avian and pot-bellied pig rescue on his farm in Santa Fe, N.M. "The work that Pet Project does in our community is so important. These difficult financial times and the challenges of natural disasters can be extremely tough for people, and often our animal friends are overlooked. It is our pleasure to help support Pet Project and our four-footed and winged friends."
Pet Project Director Mary Driscoll said, "We are absolutely thrilled and excited to be the charity chosen for the Deathtrap Cast Party for WilleyWorld Community Productions. This is our 20th year of saving La Salle County strays, and, in that time, we have found homes for about 7,000 stray dogs and cats. We hope to continue to help the homeless animals for many years to come."
This year's cast party events will include numerous items as part of the B.J. Keeney Memorial Auction, which honors the memory of one of WilleyWorld's biggest supporters. In addition to autographed items from "All My Children" and "Monty Python's Flying Circus" stars, sports items and tickets, there will be raffles and gift baskets available throughout the evening. Some special raffle items include a Coach purse, a Pandora bracelet, a ManCave Basket, a Ladies Beauty Basket, baskets for furry friends and much more.
