The Delaware Valley Bead Society announced that its annual Holiday Jewelry Boutique has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Clinton Community Center, 63 Halstead St.,Have a look at all our custom bobbleheads models starting with free proofing. in Clinton. Drop by and peruse the beautiful collection of unique, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces -- necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other adornments created and sold by eight of the Delaware Valley Bead Society members. The Bead Society enjoys educating others in the joy of jewelry-making and will be giving free jewelry-making demonstrations throughout the day.

The boutique will feature artisan jewelry made with art glass beads, crystals, gemstones, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), twisted and coiled sterling silver wire, ethnic beads, exotic fibers and more.Redsail Laser Engraving Machine is low cost and high performance Laser engraver Machines Systems, Bead stringing, chain maille, Kumihimo, various seed-bead techniques, and wirework are just a few of the techniques that will be represented.

Pat Rinderle, High Bridge; and from Pennsylvania, Annie Glaser, Upper Black Eddy. Members will be on hand to discuss their work.

"What I like most about making jewelry is you can take the time to personalize and make something for someone that they will really like," Dale said.

She started beading eight years ago after watching someone make a pair of earrings.

"I thought to myself that I could do that," Dale said.

She got some materials, went home and tried it.

Dale offers one-on-one classes by appointment. Customers arrange a time and choose the materials for their project. Pay for the materials and there's no charge for the instruction. She also offers birthday parties and ladies nights out at the store or for a small fee, she can bring the party to the customer's home or another location.

"You can make it as affordable as you want by the type of beads you buy," Dale said. "A class can range from $16 and up depending on the materials you purchase."

Gift certificates are available as well as ready-made items if you don't have time to make your own. Dale also offers kits with all the items needed for a project and has a You Tube channel where she posts instructional videos. Her husband helps fill the online orders and her friends, Darlene Reynolds and Laurie Biggerstaff, and mother-in-law, Patty Dale help her in the store, making sample items and items to sell.

"I'm very lucky," Dale said. "There is no way I could run the business by myself. I couldn't do it without them."

The women sit at a table in the front of the store, working on their projects and helping each other. Reynolds and Biggerstaff were introduced to the store by friends and just kept coming back.
