She then said it would go a long way in also enhancing the economic well being of local food producers abounding in the state.

Edem Duke, chairman of this year’s edition and minister of culture and tourism, while commending the initiative, advised that the event be lifted to have a national outlook to harness talents. To him, Benue has a lot of tourism potential that if properly developed can attract the attention of investors and impact positively on the economic development of the state in addition to diversifying the income base of the government.
