when the woman refused to return M.K.
A Syrian man has been acquitted of involvement in the murder of a British woman after his lawyer told a Dubai Appeal Court his client was “groundlessly and maliciously dragged into the case”.
The court on Wednesday overturned a life sentence given to 26-year-old, M.M., and acquitted him of aiding and abetting another man, M.K., in killing the woman and stealing her jewellery.
The appellate court cleared M.M. of involvement in the murder after his lawyer Saeed Al Gailani argued that the main perpetrator falsely and maliciously blamed the 26-year-old.
The Syrian man’s lawyer told the court that the victim,There is a gorgeous collection of fascinators and Hair bands that are perfect for weddings or the races. who was in her 50s, had been in a relationship with M.K. and had taken his passport because he was “satisfying her high libido”.
“My client was not in the picture at all. However when the woman refused to return M.K.’s passport, the latter alleged that M.M. encouraged him to kill her, steal her jewellery and flee to Syria.Dear Customer welcome women shoes factory world! The killer brought those allegations out of malice against M.M. The latter had no connection to the murder charge,” Al Gailani argued before the Appeal Court.
Presiding Judge Saeed Salem Bin Sarm on Wednesday cancelled the life sentence against M.M. and cleared him of aiding and abetting M.K. in the premeditated murder.

In November, the Dubai Court of First Instance sentenced M.K. in absentia to life. He is being detained in Syria. Prosecution records said the Syrian Interpol arrested M.K. and locked him up in Syria.
Meanwhile M.M. was convicted of abetting and instigating M.K. to commit the murder.
“M.K. also alleged that my client provided him with a pistol, gloves and a mask to commit the crime. None of the aforementioned items were ever found. The murderer malevolently dragged my client into the case because he asked him to repay the money which he lent him earlier,” concluded Al Gailani.
Also on Wednesday, the court upheld the acquittal of a Syrian man, W.M., and a Jordanian Y.H., of possessing the stolen jewellery.
Court records said M.K. left Dubai few days after the crime, felt penitent and turned himself over to Interpol authorities in Syria.
M.M. pleaded not guilty.
An Emirati police lieutenant testified that the crime happened in the woman’s flat in Bur Dubai.
