A male accountant accused of slitting a female compatriot’s throat with a knife and fleeing with jewellery admitted to charges of premeditated murder and theft in court on Monday.

As per the earlier charges framed against Amit Yadav, Pawan Saini, Sunil alias Leela, Sunder alias Kala and Rajesh alias Badri, they were charged with committing robbery at the jewellery shop on January 27, 2009 and were booked under Section 395 of the IPC. The incident had happened around 10.45 pm. They were also charged with using the "deadly weapons'' to commit the robbery. The district court had earlier held that the four accused belonged to a gang of people habitual of committing dacoity.
