The father of two from Probus bravely fought the disease but rejected chemotherapy after undergoing several treatments, turning to alternative therapies instead.
Lucy, who was studying drama at Rose Bruford College in Sidcup at the time, wanted to return home and support her father, but he told her to complete her studies.
"I was in my final year and I got a first (degree). He came to my graduation. I know that he wanted Rob and I to chase our dreams, and achieve what we set out to do.
"I've been super-driven to make him proud. Dad has always loved boats, the sea has been a massive influence in our lives."
Macmillan, which supports people affected by cancer, helped organise a family holiday on the Isles of Scilly spending their last precious days together.
"My mother grew up on the Isles of Scilly and during the holiday we spent a lot of time on dad's boat.
"When I went to college he said I was a 'little Cornish girl' and should keep myself anchored. It is the perfect symbol which means in the storm and craziness of life the anchor keeps you steady."
Lucy is making the pendants while working as an apprentice under master jeweller Philip Orton, of PKO Jewellery. For every £45 pendant sold £20 profit is donated to Macmillan – the cost of one hour's time with a Macmillan nurse.
So far it has raised £440 for the charity.
"My family have been touched by the donations so far. A lot of relatives have bought it as gifts. Many other people have contacted me wanting to share their similar experiences.
"Macmillan was there for moral support and to answer our questions. They offered bereavement (counselling) when dad had gone. It was good to know someone was at the end of the phone."
