The company also outlined a range of new products

The British firm, which also makes Cillit Bang cleaners and Finish dishwasher tablets, has been concentrating on high-margin health and hygiene products to take advantage of ageing Western populations and rising incomes in emerging markets.

Last year, for example, it bought U.S. group Schiff Nutrition, taking it into the $30 billion vitamins and supplements market.

“Our focus on health and hygiene power brands is working, if you look at our improved growth rates over the past 18 months they all demonstrate that we are making the right strategic choices,” Chief Executive Rakesh Kapoor told Reuters.

First-half sales rose 6 percent at constant exchange rates to 5 billion pounds ($7.7 billion), in line with forecasts, driven by a strong performance in key emerging markets like Brazil, India and China. Adjusted earnings rose 7 percent to 118.3 pence a share.

Sales in its health division, which makes 27 percent of core revenue, led the way, growing 31 percent thanks to a severe flu season in the United States and a strong performance from brands like Nurofen painkillers in a number of markets.

Revenue from hygiene products rose 6 percent, while home-related products were up 1 percent.

Reckitt said it was confident of achieving full-year group revenue growth at the upper end of a 5 to 6 percent range and raised its interim dividend by 7 percent to 60 pence per share.

“Reckitt’s growth prospects are remaining good and it is one of the few staples in Europe where growth expectations could surprise further on the positive side,” Deutsche Bank analyst Harold Thompson said in a note.

Kapoor, who took over from long-term CEO Bart Becht in 2011, said acquisitions would continue to play a role in strengthening the business in areas like China and Latin America, and in complementing its hygiene and health portfolio. He declined to say if any deals were imminent.

The company also outlined a range of new products for the second half of the year, including a new Vanish stain remover soap bar for emerging markets and Durex Embrace,Online supplies a large range of double sided tape. two so-called “pleasure gels” that provide a warming and tingling feeling.

Reckitt added it remained upbeat about demand for its heroin addiction drug Suboxone, despite competition from cheaper versions in tablet form.

Shares in the company were hit this month when U.S. healthcare provider CVS CareMark dropped the dissolvable film version of Suboxone from its list of covered medicines in favour of cheaper tablets.

Some analysts fear Suboxone’s profit could fall sharply if other healthcare providers follow suit.

Reckitt, which stopped selling the tablet version of the drug in the United States in March, said the film version’s clinical benefits remained attractive to many healthcare providers, adding it had maintained its total share of prescriptions,All the latest Releasing film Products in small size and in resumable. which continued to increase at low double digit percentage rates in the United States.

“We do not expect to maintain in full the current market share of the film but we unquestionably have a very valuable product with very good IP protection that is going to be around and robust for a very long time,” Chief Financial Officer Adrian Hennah said.

No easy solution for Red Sox DH void

Had everything gone according to plan yesterday, David Ortiz would have taken a few swings in the batting cage for the first time in almost two weeks.

By now, though, with the hobbled slugger already bound for the disabled list because of two aching heels, the Red Sox’ most pressing concern isn’t only his setback-filled rehabilitation that has been dragging on for eight months. They also must figure out how best to patch the Big Papi-sized void in the middle of their order.

And it goes beyond just trying to replace Ortiz’ production, a mission impossible given the paucity of pure sluggers on the roster. It also involves finding players who are comfortable with being a designated hitter, a role that isn’t nearly as simple as it sounds.

While DHs don’t have to worry about playing defense, they also don’t have the opportunity to cast aside a difficult at-bat by picking up a mitt and fielding a position. Instead they’re left to stew on the bench, scan video in the clubhouse or play whatever mind games are required to prepare them for their next trip to the plate.

In recent years, many American League teams have taken a new approach to the DH. Rather than employing a full-time designated hitter, they rotate players through the position, using it as an opportunity to give them periodic rest from playing defense.American tungsten jewelry for you and someone special,

But because Ortiz has remained productive through his mid-30s,Find all the manufacturers of laser cutting machine and contact them. averaging 27 homers, 89 RBI and a .900 on-base plus slugging percentage over the past five seasons, the Red Sox have stuck with the traditional DH. As a result, Gomes is the only other player on the roster with more than 50 career starts as a DH.

Early in his career, Gomes said he sought the counsel of designated hitters from opposing teams. But he found that even the most accomplished DHs, including Travis Hafner and Jason Giambi later in his career, were always searching for answers to develop a more effective in-game routine.

“The DH is kind of like a little cult,” Gomes said. “I had Sheff (Gary Sheffield) asking me, Hafner asking me. What do I know? There was no real status thing with years or numbers. It was just this information-gathering center that’s still going on.

“There’s not a right way to do it. I’ve seen guys take 50 swings in the cage before their next at-bat,select a custom bobbleheads design to start to design your own personalized. and by their third or fourth at-bat, they’re spent. I’ve seen guys watching tape instead of being on the bench and seeing what the pitcher is having success with, and they kind of lose sight of the momentum of the game.”

Until Ortiz is able to play — and at this point, there isn’t a timetable for that — the Red Sox likely will employ a DH-by-committee that includes Gomes. Lefty-swinging Mike Carp, switch-hitting Daniel Nava or even righty-hitting Mauro Gomez also may be options if they make the team.

For now, at least, manager John Farrell prefers to keep Mike Napoli at first base and Jarrod Saltalamacchia at catcher, and has noted that catching prospect Ryan Lavarnway’s at-bats typically aren’t as good when he isn’t behind the plate.Find the trendiest wholesale women shoes including stylish wholesale sandals.

“I will say that guys that would be in consideration probably have had some at-bats in that role, so there’s some initial routine that they would have,Find all the manufacturers of laser engraving machine and contact them.” Farrell said. “We’ve got some decisions to make here in the last 9-10 days. Hopefully this isn’t something we’re talking about in June.”

Nobody said replacing Ortiz would be easy. But the Red Sox may find it even more challenging than they thought.

Rudy Gay heads to Toronto in Grizzlies' makeover

Rudy Gay is on his way to Toronto in the latest and most dramatic move in the Memphis Grizzlies' money-motivated makeover.

The Grizzlies agreed to trade their star swingman to the Raptors on Wednesday, parting with the leading scorer on a team that has aspirations of making a run in the powerful Western Conference.

The Raptors gave up point guard Jose Calderon and forward Ed Davis in the deal that also included Grizzlies backup center Hamed Haddadi, and Memphis then shipped Calderon to Detroit for Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince. Memphis general manager Chris Wallace thanked both Gay and Haddaddi for their time with the Grizzlies.

"We are excited to add three players who bring with them a tremendous amount of value to our team and have achieved incredible success on the pro, college and Olympic levels," Wallace said in a statement Wednesday night. "In these players, we welcome NBA Champion and Olympic gold medalist Tayshaun Prince, as well as up-and-coming athletic forwards Ed Davis, who won an NCAA title at North Carolina, and Austin Daye."

"It's been my home for eight years," Calderon said in Atlanta, shortly before leaving the arena. "I've done everything possible for this team. It's tough. The fans have been with me since Day 1. It's tough."

Prince and Daye have both spent their entire careers with Detroit, and Prince was the last link to the proud championship team of 2003-04.

"Trading a player like Tayshaun Prince, who has meant so much to our organization and contributed to our championship success, is never easy," Pistons president Joe Dumars said in a statement. "We want to thank Tayshaun for his professionalism and contributions over the last 10 years. We also appreciate everything that Austin Daye has done for our team both on and off the court over the past three-plus years."

Gay, averaging 17.2 points and 5.9 rebounds, signed a five-year, $82 million maximum contract in July 2010 with Memphis. The 6-foot-8 small forward is due $16.5 million this season with $37 million more over the next two years. That's a big number for new owner Robert Pera, who took over the franchise last November and has quickly started addressing the team's salary situation.

Just over a week ago, the Grizzlies sent valuable reserve Marreese Speights and two other players to Cleveland in a move that cleared $6.4 million in salary and avoided a $4 million luxury tax hit this season. Team officials said that move put the Grizzlies in position not to have to make a move this season.

Memphis coach Lionel Hollins had been lobbying to keep his five starters together the rest of this season, but he apparently lost that fight. It's a significant move for a team that was fourth in the Western Conference and three games behind the third-place Clippers.

Trading away Gay also eases a luxury tax hit due next season, while concentrating the team around center Marc Gasol and All-Star forward Zach Randolph. The Grizzlies had their best playoff run in 2011 when they knocked off then-No. 1 seed San Antonio before losing to Oklahoma City in seven games in the Western semifinals — all with Gay on the bench after needing season-ending shoulder surgery.

The collective bargaining agreement negotiated after last year's lockout makes the penalties for exceeding the salary cap far more punitive, and the system begins in earnest next season. Playing in a smaller market, the Grizzlies don't have the extra revenue from lavish television contracts like teams in Los Angeles or New York, which makes it that much more difficult to go over the cap.Shop for bobblehead dolls from the official NBC Universal Store and build a fun collection for your home or office. But even teams such as the Lakers and Bulls will likely have to be more responsible with their spending under the new deal, where repeat offenders are taxed at rates that multiply with each consecutive year they go over the cap.

The first domino fell before the season, when Oklahoma City sent James Harden to Houston instead of signing him to a big-money extension, and more are sure to follow.

All told, the Grizzlies shaved nearly $40 million over the next three years after the two trades. We have become one of the worlds most recognised Ventilation system brands.

They'll get a hard-nosed defender in return in Prince, the 32-year-old forward who was drafted by the Pistons in the first round in 2002. He is averaging 11.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. Bringing in Calderon gives them a veteran mentor for young point guard Brandon Knight.

"We are pleased to welcome Jose Calderon, knowing that he fits our mold as a high character individual who is a great competitor," Dumars said. "Jose is a great facilitator at the guard position and a player that we feel gives us tremendous flexibility on the court when added to the core of guards we have on the roster."

Calderon joined the Raptors from Spain in 2005 and has been a fan favorite and trusted veteran on the team. He is averaging 11.With superior quality photometers, light meters and a number of other solar light products.1 points and 7.4 assists this season for the Raptors (16-29),Site describes services including Plastic Mould. who are desperately trying to scratch their way into the playoff picture. Toronto was in 11th place before the games were played Wednesday, 5? games behind Boston for the eight seed.

Calderon and Davis had both been starting for the Raptors, but they do have Kyle Lowry waiting in the wings at point guard and likely see Gay's scoring punch as the key to vaulting back into the discussion in a mediocre conference.

Coach Dwane Casey will have to deal with a bit of a log jam with Gay, DeMar DeRozan, Terrence Ross, Landry Fields and Alan Anderson as wing players with similar skill sets. But getting a player with Gay's natural scoring talent, even at the expense of parting with a valued player like Calderon, proved too enticing to pass up.Welcome to Find the right laser Engraver or laser marking machine .

Floyd Mayweather have commissioned the East Peoria

Justin Fenwick's story begins with a pair of decorated sneakers, size 10.5 and for sale from the back of his trunk.

His car was parked at the 1900 block of Knoxville Avenue, at a gas station at night, because when you're selling to a crowd "you wouldn't bring over to mom and pop's house," he said, you don't want them knowing where you live.

"If you're from the (1980s) and up you understand," he said.

Fenwick operates under the professional name Donk'e Punch, and is the self-described Andy Warhol of shoes. The 36-year-old customizes shoes, specifically Nike Air Force 1s, and adds Swarovski crystals, removes logos and retools the kicks to meet any image of his mind's eye.

"It just comes in your head," he said. "You picture it in your mind, and try and meet that picture."

Celebrities such as Kanye West, rapper Consequence and boxer Floyd Mayweather have commissioned the East Peoria man to customize shoes for them, with prices ranging between $200 and $1,500, depending on design.Virgin Remy brazilian hair at affordable prices.

"Some people settle for just average," he said. "I like to go above average."

Fenwick began customizing shoes in 2004, frustrated by the lack of sneaker variety Peoria had to offer. "The sneakers are just my canvas," he said. "It'd be no different if I was painting a painting, the difference is it's a sneaker and it's wearable art."

Today, Fenwick estimates he has customized about 700 pairs of shoes, with themes including Russia, a colorful "Party Rock" shoe and yellow shoes made for Fenwick's daisy-themed wedding.
